Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital to Break Ground on Pasco County Facility by Q1

Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital Wesley Chapel will be situated on a 30-acre site at the northeast corner of the Interstate 75 and Overpass Road interchange in Pasco County. The healthcare provider acquired the land in early 2024, with a groundbreaking ceremony scheduled for March 27.

Robins & Morton will serve as the general contractor, and HKS will design the project. The 239,000-square-foot facility is expected to open in the third quarter of 2027.

Phase one will feature 56 beds, including 44 for acute care, with accommodations for families to stay overnight with patients. An additional 12 beds will be dedicated to inpatient pediatric rehabilitation. The hospital will also include a 16-bed pediatric emergency department, four operating rooms, and a gastrointestinal suite.

The facility will offer an imaging center, diagnostic testing, a full-service pharmacy, a sleep laboratory, and a 25,000-square-foot ambulatory outpatient center housing pediatric subspecialists.

In addition to medical services, the campus will feature dining options, outdoor spaces, and meeting and conference facilities.

As Pasco County's population continues to grow, healthcare providers are expanding in the area. BayCare Hospital Wesley Chapel opened in 2023, and Orlando Health is constructing a hospital in Wiregrass Ranch. AdventHealth, with multiple facilities across Pasco County, remains the area's leading provider.
